NUCLEAR DETERRENCE SUMMIT AGENDA SET

Sen. Jon Kyl and Rep. Michael Turner will join Deputy Secretary of Energy Daniel Poneman and Under Secretary of State Ellen Tauscher in headlining the Fourth Annual Nuclear Deterrence Summit, set for Feb. 14-17, 2012 in Arlington, Va. This is an event anyone involved in the NNSA marketplace won’t want to miss. Other keynote speakers include: 

  • James Miller, Principal Deputy Under Secretary for Policy, U.S. Dept.  of Defense
  • Neile Miller, Principal Deputy Administrator, U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration
  • Rose Gottemoeller, Assistant Secretary Arms Control, Verification and Compliance, U.S. Department of State
  • Andrew Weber, Asst. Secretary for Nuclear, Chemical and Biological Defense Programs, U.S. Dept. of Defense
  • Graham Allison, Director, Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs, Harvard University

NEW: Via public records request, I’ve been able to confirm reporting today that a warrant has been issued for DOE deputy asst. secretary of spent fuel and waste disposition Sam Brinton for another luggage theft, this time at Las Vegas’s Harry Reid airport. (cc: @EMPublications)
