The Department of Energy plans to hold an industry day on July 15 and July 16 for companies interested in bidding on the new Portsmouth Infrastructure Support Services procurement. DOE expects to issue a draft Request for Proposals before July 4, according to a notice posted Friday. A pre-proposal conference and Portsmouth site tour will be held on July 15, followed by one-on-one meetings on July 16. The new contract is being set-aside for small businesses, and is set to run for up to five years, consisting of a two-year base period and three one-year option periods, according to a notice DOE issued last month. Infrastructure services at the Portsmouth site are currently being performed by Wastren-EnergX Mission Support under a contract set to expire in July 2015.
