Liquid waste contractor Savannah River Remediation is seeking companies able to help plan and execute outage and non-outage scopes of work, according to an expression of interest posted yesterday. “Subcontractor must have an organization that is capable and largely self-sufficient, with the SRR focus on managing the interface between subcontractor activities, ongoing operations, and overall project mission,” the notice states. “This is envisioned to be similar to methods employed in the commercial nuclear power industry.” The subcontractor would “develop and maintain an SRR knowledgeable core staff that will execute assigned work on an ongoing basis and will prepare for outages and other long term activities. Supplement staffing as necessary above the core levels for assigned scopes.” Responses are due July 22.
