SENATE ENERGY PANEL APPROVES NEW DOE UNDER SEC. NOMINEE

The Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee approved by a voice vote yesterday Elizabeth Robinson’s nomination to serve as the new Under Secretary of Energy for Management and Performance, sending her to the full Senate for confirmation. The new Under Secretary position will oversee the Department of Energy’s offices of Environmental Management and Legacy Management, as well as several support offices. Robinson currently serves as NASA’s Chief Financial Officer, and has also previously held positions at the White House Office of Management and Budget and the Congressional Budget Office, among others.
