The Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL) has assumed leadership of the National Analytical Management Program (NAMP) and will serve as head of the Department of Energy’s Environmental Response Laboratory Network Coordination Office. The office will act as a central point of contact for organizations looking to access highly-specialized analytical abilities in case of a large-scale radiological emergency. In accordance with this change in leadership, Tom Polk will take over as the DOE Management Sponsor, while SRNL Fellow Scientist Cecilia DiPrete will take the post of Program Director. The SRNL has proven experience supporting nuclear science, environmental management, security missions, and is uniquely suited to lead NAMP. When the SRNL assumes its new duties, it will help promote NAMP through both national and international partnerships with private companies, laboratories, and governments.
