By ExchangeMonitor
Strategic Systems Programs yesterday announced it plans to award Charles Stark Draper Laboratories a sole-source special project alteration contract to provide the “effort and oversight” to procure the Trident 2 Life Extension production materials, according to a notice posted on Fed Biz Opps. Draper is the prime contractor for the development, production and fleet support of “complex, application-specific devices and subassemblies” of Trident 2 MK 6 guidance systems, according to the notice. Additionally, the announcement states Draper is the only company with the “unique facilities and personnel expertise required for this program.” Work will start on Feb. 1 and continue until April 30, 2019.
