20 – Department of Energy, consent-based siting webinar: “You Ask, DOE Answers: What’s Next for the Federal Consolidated Interim Storage of Spent Nuclear Fuel?” 4:00 p.m. Eastern time. Register online.

20 – Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Public meeting to discuss potential restart of Palisades Nuclear Generating Station. Grand Upton Hall, Lake Michigan College, Benton Harbor, Mich. Remote access online via the NRC’s website. 5:00 p.m. Eastern time.

21 – Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Virtual information exchange:  to discuss considerations related to licensing nuclear facilities at brownfield and retired fossil fuel sites. NEW: Via public records request, I’ve been able to confirm reporting today that a warrant has been issued for DOE deputy asst. secretary of spent fuel and waste disposition Sam Brinton for another luggage theft, this time at Las Vegas’s Harry Reid airport. (cc: @EMPublications)
