Here are some events related to defense and civilian nuclear matters that Exchange Monitor staff are tracking this week.

14-18: Conference. The American Nuclear Society kicks off its annual winter meeting in Phoenix, Ariz., with opening plenary session starting at 10:00 a.m. Eastern time. Virtual access available.

14: Meeting: The Savannah River Site Citizens Advisory Board kicks off a two-day hybrid meeting from Augusta University, Summerville Campus, Student Activity Center Ballroom, 2500 Walton Way, Augusta, GA 30904.

15: Meeting: Hanford Advisory Board holds a hybrid session starting at 9 a.m. Pacific Time and originating from the Holiday Inn Richland on the River, 802 George Washington Way, Richland, WA 99352.

15: Meeting: The Northern New Mexico Environmental Management Advisory Board holds a hybrid meeting starting at 1 p.m. Mountain Time, originating from the Ohkay Conference Center, 68 New Mexico 291 Ohkay, Owingeh, New Mexico 87566.

16: Meeting: The Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board kicks off a two-part public hearing on Los Alamos National Laboratory issues starting at 12 p.m. Mountain Time  o at the Santa Fe Community Convention Center 201 West Marcy Street Santa Fe, New Mexico 87501. The Office of Environmental Management session starts at noon while the National Nuclear Security Administration hearing is at 4 p.m.

17: Meeting: The Paducah Environmental Management Site-Specific Advisory Board meets starting at 5:30 p.m. Central Time from West Kentucky Community and Technical College, Emerging Technology Building, Room 109, 5100 Alben Barkley Drive, Paducah, Kentucky 42001.

NEW: Via public records request, I’ve been able to confirm reporting today that a warrant has been issued for DOE deputy asst. secretary of spent fuel and waste disposition Sam Brinton for another luggage theft, this time at Las Vegas’s Harry Reid airport. (cc: @EMPublications)
