12: Meeting: The South Carolina Governor’s Nuclear Advisory Council meets in public session at 11 a.m. Eastern Time in Charleston, S.C.

13: Virtual meeting: “Nuclear Regulatory Commission Virtual Public Meeting on Using Decommissioning Trust Funds for Major Radioactive Component Disposal During Operations.” Register online.

12: Hybrid Meeting: Environmental Management Cleanup Forum hosted by the Department of Energy’s Environmental Management Los Alamos Field Office and Newport News Nuclear BWXT Los Alamos (N3B). In-person: Los Alamos County Municipal Building, Council Chambers, 1000 Central Avenue, Los Alamos, N.M. 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Mountain time. Attend virtually by WebEx or phone.

NEW: Via public records request, I’ve been able to confirm reporting today that a warrant has been issued for DOE deputy asst. secretary of spent fuel and waste disposition Sam Brinton for another luggage theft, this time at Las Vegas’s Harry Reid airport. (cc: @EMPublications)
