URS executive Chuck Conway is joining Los Alamos National Laboratory as the operations manager in the lab’s Nuclear and High Hazard Operations Directorate, Associate Director for Nuclear and High Hazard Operations Cheryl Cabbil said in a message to lab employees yesterday. Conway most recently served as the startup manager for Retrieval Operations and Deputy Plant Manager at the Advanced Mixed Waste Treatment Project at Idaho National Laboratory. In his new position, he’ll provide more support to the lab’s nuclear and high hazard operations and environmental waste management operations as the lab moves to resume work at the Radioassay and Nondestructive Testing Facility, Waste Characterization, Reduction, and Repackaging Facility, and Area G.
