USACE Extends Luckey RFP Due Date Two Weeks

The Army Corps of Engineers Buffalo District last week added an additional two weeks to the Request for Proposal for remediation services at its Formerly Utilized Sites Remedial Action Program site in Luckey, Ohio. The contract for environmental remediation services and ancillary construction to support the cleanup is worth up to $100 million over 10 years, with a base period of five years and an optional ordering period for an additional five years. The new response due date is now Jan. 21, 2015, two weeks later than the original Jan. 7 due date.

 

The Corps is setting aside the new contract for small businesses, and task orders under the contract will be issued either as Firm Fixed Price or Cost Plus Fixed Fee depending on the nature of work, the solicitation said. The majority of the task orders are anticipated to be CPFF, however. The Corps is currently planning to consider bids for the new contract on four criteria in descending order of importance—technical approach, past performance, key personnel, and management/organization approach. Each factor will assist the Government to ensure the selected Offeror meets the program goal – to safely and efficiently remediate the Luckey Site in accordance with the Record of Decision, the Corps said.
