The Army Corps of Engineers’ Kansas City District awarded to 10 companies this week an unrestricted Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Multiple Award Task Order Contract for remediation services. The contract, which has a ceiling of $185 million, will support work across Corps projects such as remediation work for the Northwestern Division, Southwestern Division, and South Pacific Division, for hazardous, toxic and radioactive waste remediation projects for both civilian and military agencies including the Corps’ Formerly Utilized Sites Remedial Action Program (FUSRAP). The 10 companies include: Arcadis U.S., CB&I Federal Services, CDM Joint Venture, CH-Cape Joint Venture, Conti Federal Services, Environmental Chemical, Obg/Baker Federal Solutions Joint Venture, Sevenson Environmental Services, Tetra Tech EC, and URS Group. The contracts have a base period of three years and an option to extend the contract for an additional two-year period.

According to a Kansas City District spokesperson last year, the contracts cover a wide array of projects across different Corps districts. “The solicitation is for a wide area of responsibility, and will be available for several divisions to use,” the spokesperson said. “The solicitation falls under the Multiple Environmental Government Acquisition (MEGA), so there will be several divisions that will have ownership, and each division accomplishes a different acquisition. For the Kansas City District, it would be an Unrestricted Remedial Action Contract. It will cover a wide array of projects when they come up.”
