Veolia, Canadian Companies Form Nuclear Partnership

By ExchangeMonitor

Veolia Nuclear Solutions has partnered with two Canadian companies to form a new entity that will provide “fresh innovation” for the nuclear industry.

The Nuclear Innovation Consortium is a collaboration of Veolia Nuclear Solutions, the nuclear services branch of French waste management company Veolia; Hatch, an engineering firm based in Ontario; and Promation, an Ontario-headquartered producer of tooling, automation, and robotic technologies.

“The nuclear industry has been putting out the call for innovation to solve some of their toughest challenges. We believe the innovative culture of all three companies together will be able to effectively find solutions that save time and money,” Amar Jolly, Hatch global director for nuclear, said in a press release. “The synergy was clear when Hatch, VNS, and Promation first met to discuss the consortium. We are a team that will bring fresh, smart, and proven solutions that the nuclear industry is seeking.”

Additional details about the consortium, including the services provided and personnel, were not immediately available. A Nuclear Innovation Consortium spokesperson did not respond to a list of questions by deadline Tuesday.
