IN DOE

The Department of Energy’s Office of Science has awarded an estimated $2.5 million to David Heldebrant, a researcher at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, to support his research into combined capture and conversion of CO2. The funding has been awarded under the DOE’s Early Career Research Program. “Supporting talented researchers in their early career years is one key to building and maintaining an effective scientific workforce for the nation,” Patricia Dehmer, acting Director of DOE’s Office of Science, said in a release last week.
