Hanford tank farm contractor Washington River Protection Solutions is seeking companies interested in participating in a “technology exchange” to “improve the tank farm vapor management system,” according to a sources sought notice posted Friday. The vapors have been an ongoing issue for WRPS, as several workers last year had to seek medical attention after exposure to vapors. The contractor “is seeking interested parties to participate in a Technology Exchange for current and potential technologies/methods of detection, monitoring, and abatement to improve the tank farm vapor management system,” according to the notice. The event is scheduled to be held on Feb. 24 and Feb. 25 in the Tri-Cities area of Washington.
