Centerra Wins LANL Protective Forces Contract

By ExchangeMonitor

Los Alamos National Security has awarded Centerra Group its protective forces contract, a Los Alamos National Laboratory spokesman has confirmed. SOC, LLC, has provided security at the lab since 1992, and in 2010 beat G4S Government Solutions (then WSI), and several other companies to extend its contract another five years. SOC’s contract expires on Sept. 30. “LANS LLC recently completed a competitive acquisition for protective force services at Los Alamos National Laboratory,” the spokesman yesterday wrote to Weapons Complex Morning Briefing in an email. “The acquisition was a Best Value procurement. The acquisition resulted in an award to Centerra Group.” LANL yesterday did not immediately respond to a separate email asking the contract’s value and award term.
