Creedon to be Sworn in as NNSA No. 2 Official Today

By ExchangeMonitor

Madelyn Creedon will be sworn in as the National Nuclear Security Administration’s principal deputy administrator today, NNSA spokesman Al Stotts said. Creedon’s swearing in will take place in a small ceremony in the office of Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz. Creedon was confirmed by the Senate July 23 after a lengthy wait. She’ll make the move to NNSA headquarters from the Pentagon, where she has served as the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Global Strategic Affairs since 2011. She previously was a staffer on the Senate Armed Services Committee, and had stints as NNSA’s Deputy Administrator for Defense Programs from 2000 to 2001 and as the Associate Deputy Energy Secretary for National Security Programs from 1995 to 1997.
