EnergySolutions said Monday on LinkedIn it has appointed a familiar face, Andrew Drom, as its new senior vice president for its Federal Support business unit.
Although he just joined the Salt Lake City-based company April 6, this is Drom’s second tour of duty with EnergySolutions. He served in a couple of different international management positions for company between 2009 and 2015
Drom spent the past five years heading up waste projects and operations for Central Plateau Cleanup Co. at the Department of Energy’s Hanford Site in Richland, Wash., according to his online profile. He has also worked in senior management jobs for Atkins Nuclear.
Drom brings much experience across the nuclear sectors of the United States, Canada and United Kingdom, EnergySolutions said in a press release posted on LinkedIn. In addition to Hanford, Drom has also worked at properties such as Canadian Nuclear Laboratories, the Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico and the Rocky Flats remediation project in Colorado.
EnergySolutions announced last week it is being acquired by Energy Capital Partners.
