By ExchangeMonitor

The Exchange Monitor was on Feb. 7 to host its Nuclear Deterrence Summit, an annual, three-day gathering near Washington of industry professionals and government officials working on civilian nuclear-weapons programs.

The summit was scheduled to run from Monday morning through Wednesday afternoon at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City near the Pentagon. Jill Hruby, the administrator of the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), was scheduled to give the keynote address to open the summit at 1:15 p.m. Eastern time.

Those who wish to attend must provide either proof of a COVID-19 vaccination or medical documentation of a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of the start of the proceedings. A preconference, for which separate registration is required, was scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. Eastern time on Monday. The summit itself was scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. Eastern time on Monday.

The agenda for the summit and its preconference, the summit’s COVID-19 protocols and a list of sponsoring organizations are available on the summit’s website.

The event is open to the media.
