The Department of Energy’s Office of Environmental Management plans to keep on Amentum-led Four Rivers Nuclear Partnership as the remediation contractor at the Paducah Site in Kentucky through September 2030.
In an online notice of intent posted this week, DOE’s Portsmouth/Paducah Project Office said it plans to modify the existing Deactivation and Remediation contract to keep Four Rivers in place for another 27 months.
The modification will extend the period of performance from June 20, 2028 through Sept. 30, 2030, according to the procurement notice posted online.
“These services include continued coordination with applicable regulatory agencies to obtain approval on three primary Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act Records of Decision,” according to the notice.
The Four Rivers team is made up of partners Amentum, BWXT and Fluor. Work began on the contract, valued at more than $1.9 billion, in June 2017.
