Kurion has recently moved to conduct a broad shakeup of its corporate management. The changes include Kurion’s former Board chairman, Steve Piccolo, returning to the company to serve as Executive Vice President, reporting to CEO Bill Gallo. “Steve will apply his considerable skills and experience, garnered through executive positions in both commercial nuclear and federal projects, in a series of actions aimed at improving and standardizing our Projects and Operational Execution practices,” Gallo wrote in an Aug. 14 memo.
Phil Ohl, who served as Kurion’s Chief Operating Officer after the acquisition of Vista Engineering Services, has now been named Senior Vice President of European Operations, with Kurion also moving to establish an office in Manchester in the United Kingdom. “Phil’s service as COO since the acquisition is both recognized and appreciated,” Gallo wrote. Responsibility for Kurion’s Operations is now with Dave Brockman, with Scott Richey having been named as Vice President for Operations, according to Gallo’s memo. Rickey’s previous positions have included working for CH2M Hill as a Director on the Hanford Plateau Remediation Contract; and as Senior Vice President for Northwest Operations at AREVA Federal Services.
Kurion’s other management changes include:
— Dawn Adams being named as Director for Project Services. She most recently served as Vice President/Operations Manager of Parsons Hanford Fabricators;
— Gaetan Bonhomme being named Chief Technology Officer, reporting to Gallo; and Wes Bratton being named Deputy Chief Technology Officer; and
— Kurion’s environmental, safety, health and quality function, under the leadership of Adrian Cornish, being moved to report directly to Gallo. “This change reflects the highest priority we place on safety, especially critical with an increasingly complex mix of activities in our facilities and at our client’s sites,” Gallo wrote.
