Markups Set for Energy & Water, Armed Services This Week

By ExchangeMonitor
The funding picture for the National Nuclear Security Administration and the Department of Energy’s cleanup program will get a lot clearer this week when House appropriators and authorizers mark up the Fiscal Year 2016 House Energy and Water Appropriations Act and the FY 2016 National Defense Authorization Act. The House Appropriations Committee will mark up the E&W bill at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, and while the Energy and Water subcommittee released top line numbers for the bill last week, the full details of the legislation will be unveiled early this week.

The full details of the House version of the FY 2016 National Defense Authorization Act won’t be revealed when the House Armed Services Strategic Forces Subcommittee marks up its portion of the bill at noon Thursday, but top line numbers and some details will be unveiled. The full House Armed Services Committee will mark up the bill April 29.
