MILLER, PODONSKY AMONG OFFICIALS TO TESTIFY AT PANTEX DNFSB HEARING

Acting National Nuclear Security Administration chief Neile Miller, Department of Energy Health, Safety and Security chief Glenn Podonsky, NNSA Production Office Manager Steve Erhart, and B&W Pantex General Manager John Woolery lead a long list of officials that are scheduled to testify at a Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board hearing in Amarillo Thursday. The hearing will focus on safety culture at the plant as well as emergency response preparedness and the overall safety of the plant’s defense nuclear facilities. The first session of the hearing will take place from 1-5 p.m. at the Amarillo Civic Center, and the second session is scheduled to run from 6:30-9 p.m. NNSA Chief of Defense Nuclear Safety Don Nichols, acting Associate Administrator for Infrastructure and Operation Jim McConnell, NNSA Production Office Environment, Safety, Health & Quality Manager James Stevens, B&W Pantex Emergency Management Manager Alonzo Campbell, and B&W Pantex Projects Manager Dennis Huddleston also are scheduled to testify during the hearing.
