New HR head at BWXT

Robert Duffy took over as BWX Technologies’ top human resources and administrative executive, the company said Monday in a press release.

Duffy, most recently with L3Harris Technologies, replaced Rick Loving as senior vice president and chief administrative officer, the Lynchburg, Va.-based nuclear-navy and Department of Energy contractor wrote in release, which was appended to an 8-k filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Duffy was previously L3Harris’ senior vice president and chief human resources and administration officer, according to the release. Prior to that, he worked in human resources at United Technologies, the former parent company of Sikorsky Aircraft, Pratt & Whitney and others. Raytheon acquired United Technologies in 2020.

Duffy has a masters degree in management and technology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y., and a bachelor’s degree in human resources management from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pa. BWX Technologies wrote in the release.

Loving is retiring, according to the release.
