Oak Ridge Environmental Partners, the same venture that last month challenged the Department of Energy’s issuance of the new Cleanup Contract, potentially worth $8.3 billion, at the Oak Ridge Site in Tennessee, protested the contract again.
A notice dated Friday on the Government Accountability Office’s (GAO) website showed another protest of the contract issued to United Cleanup Oak Ridge (UCOR): a team made up of incumbents Amentum and Jacobs along with Honeywell, as well as four teaming subcontractors.
The first protest by Oak Ridge Environmental Partners was filed Nov. 15 and GAO indicated the challenge would be ruled on by Feb. 23. An industry source has said Veolia is the leader of Oak Ridge Environmental Partners, but a Veolia spokesperson declined comment when contacted last month.
The protest notices filed publicly on the GAO website are bare bones documents, identifying the contract, listing only the name of the contractor group challenging the award and the date the challenge was issued.
