North Wind inks Army Corps biz

By ExchangeMonitor

A North Wind Group company said this week it has landed a share of U.S. Army Corps of Engineers business worth $275 million.

North Wind Site Services said in an April 27 news release it has been awarded a seat on the Corps’ Northwestern Division Regional Pre-Placed Remedial Action Contract Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC).

“The $245 million contract spans 14 states and includes environmental removal actions, remedial actions, and related remediation and incidental construction services,” Idaho-based North Wind said in the news release.

In Utah, North Wind crews recently celebrated the removal of 16 million tons of residual radioactive material from near the Colorado River as part of the Department of Energy’s Uranium Mill Tailings Remedial Action project in the Moab area.
