Personnel Changes at DOE HQ

By ExchangeMonitor

Steve Winberg was appointed acting under secretary of energy, replacing Mark Menezes who was elevated to deputy secretary according to a Dear Colleagues letter circulated late last week by Secretary of Energy Dan Brouillette.

Winberg was most recently the assistant secretary for fossil energy: a direct report to the undersecretary of energy.

Also, Brouillette wrote, Nicholas Andersen was appointed principal deputy assistant secretary in the Office of Cybersecurity, Energy Security, and Emergency Response (CESER), replacing Sean Plankey. Plankey is staying on at DOE as a senior advisor.
