Standard Nuclear adds Cohen to board of directors

By ExchangeMonitor

Former Department of Energy legal counsel official Seth Cohen joined Standard Nuclear’s board of directors, the company said Aug. 14 in a LinkedIn post.

Cohen’s appointment comes after he left the federal government in June. When in the government, Cohen was DOE’s chief counsel for nuclear policy, a senior advisor to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and an advisor for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

“Cohen brings a rare combination of legal, regulatory and federal policy experience across the nuclear industry, a vantage point that matters more each year as advanced reactors, national infrastructure and surging demand for reliable power reshape the sector,” Standard Nuclear said in its LinkedIn post.

Standard Nuclear’s addition of Cohen comes a month after it brought on former Tennessee Valley Authority CEO Don Moul to its board.
