The White House has remained secretive about the specifics of President Barack Obama’s final State of the Union address tonight, but signs point to at least some mention of the administration’s efforts to combat climate change. “Under President Obama’s leadership we have met that challenge and led the international community and world leaders to a global agreement to combat climate change, while cutting pollution from power plants, vehicles, and agriculture here at home and making the largest investment in renewable energy in our nation’s history,” the White House State of the Union website says.
The address will begin at 9 p.m. EST and will be televised on major U.S. broadcast and cable news channels. The White House is also providing a live webcast of the event.
