10: Hearing, House Energy and Commerce climate and grid security subcommittee. “American Nuclear Energy Expansion: Spent Fuel Policy and Innovation.” Rayburn House Office Building Room, Room 2322,  Washington. Streaming online at the committee’s website.

10: Meeting: The Oak Ridge Site-Specific Advisory Board meets in virtual/hybrid session starting at 6 p.m. Eastern Time from the DOE Information Center, Office of Science and Technical Information, 1 Science.gov Way, Oak Ridge, Tennessee 37831. To attend virtually email [email protected] by 5 p.m. Eastern on Wednesday April 3. 

10: Public teleconference meeting, Nuclear Regulatory Commission. “Beyond Nuclear, Michigan Safe Energy Future, and Don’t Waste Michigan to clarify or supplement the December 5, 2023, petition for enforcement action against Holtec Palisades, LLC related to the misuse of decommissioning funds for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Petition Review Board.” Watch the meeting online via the NRc’s website. 11:00 a.m. Eastern time.

NEW: Via public records request, I’ve been able to confirm reporting today that a warrant has been issued for DOE deputy asst. secretary of spent fuel and waste disposition Sam Brinton for another luggage theft, this time at Las Vegas’s Harry Reid airport. (cc: @EMPublications)
