UCOR PRESIDENT LEO SAIN TO TAKE CORPORATE URS ROLE

By ExchangeMonitor

Leo Sain is stepping down as President and Project Manager of Oak Ridge cleanup contractor URS-CH2M Oak Ridge, LLC, to take a corporate position with URS. URS spokesman Keith Wood confirmed late last week that Sain will be “moving into a corporate position with URS Global Management & Operations Services with responsibility for the UCOR contract at ETTP [the East Tennessee Technology Park].” Wood added, “The URS succession planning process has begun and should be completed in several weeks. His replacement will require approval by the DOE.” Wood did not say when Sain would move to his new URS role or who would serve as acting UCOR president until a permanent replacement is named.

Sain has headed up UCOR since it won the Oak Ridge cleanup contract in mid-2011. Before heading up UCOR, Sain held the position of Executive Vice President, Performance Assurance and Operations, for URS’ GMOS unit, where he was responsible for performance in high-level waste facilities across the DOE complex.
