UCOR SELECTS PREQUALIFIED BIDDERS FOR RAD PROTECTION SUPPORT

By ExchangeMonitor

Oak Ridge cleanup contractor UCOR this week notified six prequalified companies and teams for its radiological protection support services subcontract. The subcontract’s scope includes furnishing labor and vehicles for UCOR’s radiological protection-related programs, providing all required health physicists and giving personnel with related training. It does not cover characterization, treatment or disposal of waste. UCOR expects to issue a request for proposals in February and award the five-year small business subcontract soon after. The work is currently being performed by Safety and Ecology Corporation/Perma Fix, which this month had its subcontract extended until June. Prequalified bidders selected by UCOR this week include:

  • Navarro Research & Engineering;
  • Spectra Tech with Wastren Advantage and ENERCON Federal Services;
  • Environmental Dimensions with Kelly Government Services;
  • Babcock Services with Bartlett and EnergySolutions;
  • Eberline Services
  • Carl’s Services.
