AtkinsRéalis Group said Friday it is revamping its nuclear business in the United States, by setting up two operating divisions to better align with accelerating demand across the federal and commercial nuclear markets.
“Jack Craig, Jr. will serve as senior vice president of Federal Services, where he will lead our federal nuclear portfolio, including our Tier-1 federal major projects and our Tier-2 federal business units,” AtkinsRéalis President of U.S. Nuclear Jeff Kendall said in a post on LinkedIn.
“Randy Spickard will serve as Senior Vice President of Commercial Services, where he will lead our commercial nuclear services portfolio for new builds, existing fleet, fuel cycle, and global nuclear project delivery,” Kendall said.
Government and commercial entities are investing in nuclear at a scale not seen in decades, Kendall said.
“Jack and Randy bring deep experience and leadership this moment demands, and each will work to ensure we build on our track record of delivering some of the industry’s most complex nuclear programs,” Kendall went on to say in the post. “With this structure, we can move faster, invest smarter, and deliver at the scale our clients and mission partners demand.”
Craig has held several executive-level posts for Atkins since 2018 and before that he held a number of high-ranking jobs for the Department of Energy and its Office of Environmental Management. Spickard is currently executive vice president, AtkinsRéalis US Nuclear.
More on the restructuring could come up Thursday when the company holds a conference call with analysts on quarterly financial performance.
