Oak Ridge, Tenn.-based Boston Government Services this month announced a pair of management moves, appointing a vice president for energy and environmental work as well as a head of cybersecurity.

Longtime Boston Government executive Karen Harris, who was chief executive of a small technical services business for a decade and has 25 years of experience in planning and administration, has been promoted to energy and environmental vice president, the company said in a press release.

Harris has been business development vice president at Boston Government Services since 2014, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Also, Rocky Campione, a former executive with both the Department of Energy and an Amazon Web Services entity, joined Boston Government Services this month as its vice president of cybersecurity and technology solutions.

Campione recently led the Amazon Web Services team responsible for working with United States regulators on cybersecurity compliance, according to a separate Boston Government release.

As DOE’s chief Information officer, Campione oversaw the department’s $2.9 billion information technology portfolio, according to the Boston Government press release. Boston Government’s Founder and CEO Harry Boston announced the moves in press releases on Dec. 1 and Dec. 12.

Founded in 2007, and now owned by Louisiana-based Bernhard Capital Partners, Boston Government Services employs more than 200 engineers spread across in at least five different locations, according to its website. Its clients include facilities across the DOE nuclear weapons complex as well as some U.S. Army Corps of Engineers properties and the Tennessee Valley Authority.
