The Department of Energy’s $7.5-billion nuclear cleanup office appears to be inching closer to a small business solicitation for Technical Assistance Contracts for three or more field sites, according to a procurement website that went online within the past week.
The Office of Environmental Management (EM) previously said in a Dec. 27 notice to expect a trio of technical assistance set-aside contracts as early as next month.
These sites include the West Valley Demonstration Project in New York, the Los Alamos National Laboratory’s EM field office in New Mexico and the Moab Uranium Mill Tailings Remedial Action Project in Utah “among other EM Field Sites,” according to the website posted by EM’s Consolidated Business Center in Cincinnati.
A business center webpage for contracts lists North Wind Solutions as having a technical assistance contract at West Valley, S&K Logistic Services has a similar contract at Moab.
The new deals would replace existing technical assistance contracts expiring in 2022 and 2023, according to the latest procurement page.
