Hot time in Hanford this week

It might be a tough week for those who work outside this week at the Department of Energy’s Hanford Site near Richland, Wash., as daily high temperatures are expected to hover around 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

The National Weather Service has an extreme heat watch in effect from Tuesday through Thursday, according to Weather.gov.

After a relatively mild Monday in which the forecasted high was not expected to reach 90 degrees, the temperature through Friday was expected to be around 100 degrees each day, according to Weather.com.

According to the local forecast, the hottest day of the week is expected to be Wednesday when the local forecast calls for a high of 104 degrees. High temperatures might not dip below 90 degrees again until Sunday.
