Battelle Energy Alliance, the Department of Energy’s management contractor for Idaho National Laboratory is seeking expressions of interest from vendors capable of raising the fire alarm strobes in Building 1617.
The work will help the prime contractor in meeting safety codes and updated height and visibility requirements, according to a Feb. 24 procurement notice online on SAM.gov.
The work would include assessing the current height and locations of existing strobes, removing and re-installing the alarm strobes as necessary, ensuring the wiring and systems work properly and comply with current fire protection standards, according to the notice. The vendor will also be required to file all the proper documentation.
The expressions of interest stage marks the first step in identifying interested and qualified vendors, the DOE contractor said in the notice. The bidders deemed up to the task would qualify to participate in a request for proposals for an actual contract.
Expressions of interest submissions should be made by May 22 to Chase.Egbert@inl.gov.
