GAO: Final Moab tailings cleanup could total nearly $1.2 billion

About $190 million worth of work remains at the Department of Energy’s Uranium Mill Tailings Remedial Action Project at Moab, Utah, bringing the final tab to about $1.16 billion, a congressional watchdog said earlier this month.
